Below are just a few of the many letters
and comments I have received. There are far too many to
post on this site, but the following are indicative of
those that I have received.
I
also would like to thank all that have helped me to
overcome this horrific event and made me what I have
become today. I encourage you to live your dreams and
appreciate the very best that life has to offer.
Your path of life may not be what you really wanted to
choose, but you have the power to change the direction of the journey.
Life is precious, so savour and cherish each moment.
"Our delegates
were profoundly moved and influenced by your session.
One delegate went home and replaced the battery in his
smoke detector. Another went to his employer and asked
that you be brought in as a speaker at one of our company
events. Still more delegates wrote heartfelt notes to
you on their session evaluation. Obviously, you did
an outstanding job of raising awareness with regard
to burn injuries, prevention and treatment."

got the message"

"Michael....a dynamic, and passionate young
man with a powerful message. A pure pleasure to listen
to."

“Each student in our NL school system
should hear Mr. Gaultois’ message. It is a many-faceted
account of how one ordinary boy became an extraordinary
man through determination, by making the right choices
and by keeping a positive outlook on life. I am thrilled
that my students had this opportunity.”
Donna Rose
Teacher- Leo Burke Academy
Bishop’s Falls, NL
“I learned from Michael’s presentation
how he wasn't’t letting one incident that changed
his life stop him, and how it really opened up a new
window of opportunity for him. He took advantage of
a negative event and turned it into a positive one.
Michael went from a victim to a survivor. I learned
that he also did many things to make his life better
and what I can do to make mine better and safer. I am
glad he survived to tell his story to me and everyone
else.”
Student – Point Leamington Academy
Point Leamington, NL
“The service you provide to students is one
that has the potential of leaving an indelible mark,
something that they may take with them to adulthood
and who knows from there. Never become discouraged or
believe that the message has become stale or lacks importance,
for if only a few remember the stories you tell or the
pictures you show, your effect on lives remains everlasting.”
Dave Peters
Vice Principal of Athena Consolidated School
Summerside, Prince Edward Island
“There are persons who can speak on any subject
to the public given a chance to practice. Michael when
you presented your program it was evident that it came
from the heart. Aside from the hard lessons you learned
through personal experience with fire, your ability
to transfer that knowledge to others is amazing.”
John Courtney
Fire Chief & Safety Officer
Town of Labrador City
“Your visits to four schools at the elementary,
intermediate and senior high levels made a significant
impact on the students who participated in your motivational
presentation. The principals of the schools that you
visited were united in their praise of your ability
to connect with the students in a personal, meaningful
and caring manner. You have a great message and you
communicate it well. We look forward to your return
visit to the Island and the Eastern School District.”
Ken Gaudet

“The students were spellbound and one of the
nurses commented that it was “the best lecture
{she had} ever attended.”
